Step 3:Using a ruler as a guide, take the rounded end of a paper clip (or ballpoint pen that has run out of ink) and press along the dotted line on the center of the card. Go all the way from the top to the bottom of the card!

Step 4:Using a ruler as a guide, take the rounded end of a paper clip (or a ballpoint pen that has run out of ink) and press along the dotted lines of all pop-up pieces.

Step 5:Carefully cut out the Crab's card following the solid, black lines.

Step 6:Carefully cut out the pop-up pieces for the crab following the solid, black lines.
|
Step 7:Fold the crab shell along the long, center dotted line. Then carefully cut two slits along the solid, black lines.
|
Step 8:Take the thin rectangle that was created, fold it over and cut it off at the solid, black line.
|
Step 9:Take hold of the crab legs piece and fold the left legs towards you. Return the leg to its original position.
|
Step 10:Fold the top left tab away from you. Return tab to its original position.
|
Step 11:Fold the corner of the top left tab towards you. Return corner tab to its original positon.
|
Step 12:Repeat steps 9,10, and 11 with the right side of the crab legs piece. The crab legs piece should now look like this.

Step 13:Take hold of the crab pinchers piece and fold the bottom tab away from you and leave it in this folded position.

Step 14:Take the left pincher and carefully fold it away from you. Return pincer to its original position.

Step 15:Take the right pincher and carefully fold it away from you. Return pincher to its original position.
|
Step 16:Carefully fold the two tabs near the eyes away from you. Leave the tabs in this position and set the piece aside.

Step 17:Take the card and fold it in half along the center dotted line.
|
Step 18:Apply white glue to the large trapezoid shaped area at the bottom and the two pie slice shaped areas at the top.

Step 19:Take the carb legs piece and carefully line up the bottom with the wet glue areas on the card. Press the tabs into the glue. Let the glue dry!

Step 20:Apply white glue (don't put on too much!) to the two small areas on the underside of the crab shell piece.

Step 21:Slide crab eyes through the slot in the crab shell piece and carefully line up the tabs with the wet glue areas on the crab shell. Press the tabs into the glue, Let the glue dry!

Step 22:Apply glue to the rectangle area on the base page.

Step 23:Take the carb shell piece and line it up with the wet glue area on the base card. Press the tab into the glue area. Let it dry.

Step 24:Apply glue to the small trapezoid shape and fold the crab shell piece towards you and line up the tabs with the wet glue area. Let it dry!

Step 25:After the glue has dried, test the pop-up by SLOWLY and carefully closing the card. You WILL need to push the left and right pinchers towards each other the first time you close it.

Step 26:Your crab pop-up card is now finished! Watch out for those pinchers!
