In the late 1400's Leonardo da Vinci created the world's first programmable wooden robot, called an automaton, and named it the Mechanical Knight.

Over 600 years later the Leonardo da Vinci Robot Society asked Robert to try and create one of the Mechanical Knight's rumored functions, the ability to draw a picture.

What resulted is da Vinci's Drawmaton, a working wooden recreation of this fascinating machine.  The kit includes all materials to assemble the device which draws four different pictures.  Additional programming for more pictures is available at Drawmaton.com
