Pop-up Pratt Class!
Pop-up master Matthew Reinhart teaches a course in Paper Engineering at one of the most prestigious art schools in the country: Pratt Institute in New York City. He thought it might be nice to share his students work with you. This particular project was to create a pop-up holiday card. The students were able to choose their own holiday and the results were marvelous.
Tad Kimball chose Arbor Day to create this simple, yet quietly charming card with people planting trees. Lily Ng created a spectacular, flashy card that conveys the excitement that is Carnival! Robert Sabuda's pure white pop-ups have begun to influence a new generation of paper engineers as can be seen by Monica Valente Christmas tribute.
Bright colors are the hallmark of Ellen Elizabeth Germain's fanciful Easter rabbit. What mother wouldn't love Tiffany Eng's gorgeous blooming flower for Mother's Day?! A red mask says it all for Mark Robson Lopez's interpretation of Halloween!
Jessica Lin gets personal with her creepy card, which includes a spinning, blood-shot eyeball! A red mask says it all for Mark Robson Lopez's interpretation of Halloween!
