More Variations
Instead of drawing two parallel lines, angle the one at the top downwards, Make sure the angled line is still the same height as the bottom one.
You've made a house pop-up!

 |
| Decorate your pop-up. Use pencils, markers or crayons (avoid paint since it will buckle the paper). You can also cut out other paper shapes and attach them to the front of the layer pop-up.

| Mouth Pop-up Lesson Plan:
|
Ages 3 - 6 Simple Layer -
Create a garden, vehicle or dinner table.
House Layer - Create student's house.
Ages 7 - 10 Simple Layer - Write all the letters of the alphabet
(except the difficult ones like Q, X and Z) on strips of paper and put them into a hat. Have each student select a letter then make 2 or 3 simple layer
pop-ups in a card. Each pop-up (and the rest of the card) must be decorated with their chosen letter.
Filing folders are excellent for this project since they are large enough to make at least 3 simple layer pop-ups.
House Layer - Create student's dream house or a building they've seen in their neighborhood.
