The Movable Book Society

Founded in 1992 by Rutgers librarian Ann R. Montanaro, The Movable Book Society is an international organization of pop-up and movable book enthusiasts.

Movable Stationery is the Society's quarterly publication containing letters and articles on all aspects of pop-up and movable books.

The annual membership fee for the society is $22.00 US. For more information please visit The Movable Book Society.

Every two years the Society organizes a conference in the United States. The 2002 conference will be held on September 19 - 21 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.   Conference events include lectures on a variety of pop-up and movable subjects as well as hands on workshops.   On occasion the Movable Book Society co-curates pop-up book exhibits like the one shown here at the Brooklyn Public Library.
