Artist Yasushi Shibata sent us his work after attending Robert’s opening exhibition in Japan. Here are some of his work he creates with paper. Visit him at http://homepage2.nifty.com/yanpo/. Thanks for sharing with us Yasushi!
Yasushi modeled this after the 1930’s Austin Ten. Check out he tires on this car!
Here’s a side view of the pop-up Austin Ten to scale.
Titled, “ There’s No Place Like Home” Yasushi was inspired by the nature surrounding his home.
Two chairs, a table and some glasses of wine is a way to unwind as shown here in Yasushi’s work.
This is titled “Skyscraper”. The inspiration comes from the buildings Yasushi has seen in his native Japan.
“Castle” is the title of this pop-up piece. It was inspired from the European Castles of the past. As the light hits, it creates a beautiful shadow.
A perfect tiara for a princess!
This is modeled after the well-known train in Japan that travels from Fujisawa to Kamakura (10.1km).
Inspired by the space shuttle, the Challenger, this pop-up card was also dedicated to the astronauts.
